Hartford boys soccer needed a response after opening the year with a loss, and Tuesday night in Montpelier the Hurricanes got one. Colin Morlock, Owen McMahon, and Liam Applebee were on the scoresheet in a 4-1 win over the Solons.

It was a non-league game at Montpelier High School. Hartford is 1-1 overall after the win and still 0-0 in SVL-B play.

The Bears were at Concord Country Club on Monday for a four-school meet and shot 194 on the par-34 front nine. That was one stroke behind Dover, even with Concord, and 49 clear of Manchester Central.
